I got sprayed by gasoline!!!

posted by John

With our stay in New Mexico coming to a close, we decided it was time to fill up the gas tank before heading off to Lubbock, Texas. So we headed over to the Ready Mart to fill up, popped in the pump and let ‘er ride. After grabbing some Fuze green tea from inside, I returned remove the nozzle. Little did I know this shit hole gas station had overfilled our tank. I gave the nozzle a pull and it didn’t budge so I yanked it and BAM!!! Pressurized gas erupted back out like Ryan’s mouth after a long night of drinking. More…

We’re like the YMCA

Nothing wrong with a little role playing, as long as it’s harmless and mutually agreed upon.

TheOysta and I, on the backend of our Albuquerque stop decided to check out some local attractions before we took off on our Eastern Journey. At the University of New Mexico we discussed how we wanted to be Lobos simply because the logo looked so damn cool. Because “The Pit” was closed (UoNM’s basketball stadium) we had to simply imagine how cool it would be to watch a game from the front row… but we got over that pretty quickly.

I’m so high right now!

10,000 ft. to be exact.

Since arriving in Albuquerque, our hopes to find some attractions specific to the region were met with some confusion. If we were in Mexico, it’d be simple: tequila, cervesas, and mamacitas. It just so happens that New Mexico has all three, but that left a little more to be desired. After our failed attempts to connect with our woo-girls we knew in the area, we decided to head to Sandia’s Peak. Atop this peak, we were taken aback by the beautiful panaromic view of the Cibola National forest, and decided to treat ourselves to a few drinks atop this majestic vantage point. It was clear that while the elevation change did not affect our alcohol tolerance atop, once we arrived back to the car we felt a little woozy, but in a good way nonetheless.

ABQ > Vegas, at least on this trip!

posted by John

After long and arduous 9 hour drive from Vegas, packed with several construction detours and rain storms that pracically lifted our car off the pavement, we arrived in Albuquerque around 9:30 pm last night. My uncle was kind enough to offer a couch and a bed for us for a couple nights. First order of business was capitolizing on the cool weather and exploring a local hot spot. More…

It’s rainin’ men!

posted by Ryan

Currently driving through Arizona on the I-40E, and we’re getting smashed on by the rain gods. We left Vegas this morning, and decided to re-route our trip into Albuquerque rather than staying in Phoenix for two days, because we have more people to meet in New Mexico. Fortunately for me, I’ve always like the name “albuquerque” but have never had the pleasure of going there… this will change in the next couple of days. More…
