“Is this a joke, boy?” the slightly overweight salesman originally from Ft. Worth said with a relaxed demeanor. He gave me two options:
- Redneck style ($250)
- Cowboy style ($900)
After explaining to him our endeavors to make it to New York staying on woo-peoples’ couches, I agreed on the coolest (and least expensive) Lone Star state get-up.
Because I was ecstatic about my recent purchase, I decided to wear the outfit right out of the store amidst all of the co-workers’ dirty looks.
Talan showed us around town; Fortunately she was good with directions, but not knowing where she lived. She is an Aussie attending Texas Tech that we woo’d into letting us stay at her campus apartment.
The highlight of our Lubbock stopover was definitely Club Daiquiri where we heard the line-dance influenced “Cupid Shuffle”. It’s funny… even though I’m the one dressed like a cowboy, I can’t do the damn dance! Oh well… doing it big in the Lone-Star state! WooAroundAmerica.com in full effect baby! HOLLA!
