We took the free city bus into the LoDo district where we traveled to Double Daughters— the equivalent to walking into a Tim Burton movie, on acid. We sampled the drink called “Go fuck yourself”, which is a family recipe that can be best explain as a 17-alcohol concoction that will shake your insides inside out.
We made friends, ate street-side burritos, educated bums on marketing techniques, and oh yeah, sucked a lifesaver off a random lady.
The night ended with me getting lost. Great night in Denver… on our way back West.
With hopes of jumping 60 ft. cliffs that Derik told us about, we sought out Lake Travis. After taking nearly an hour and half because of a Garmin GPS, we encountered the smelliest toilet in the universe before stumbling upon a nice jumping point.

After a super fun night in Fort Worth, Texas, it was FINALLY time to embark to Austin. Thankfully, the drive wasn’t bad at all and we were able to meet up with my step brother Derek who I had seen in almost 7 years! From there we met up with Britney at the hotel room and headed off to 6th Street, the hot night spot in town, and hit up a couple bars. First, we stopped at The Chuggin Monkey for a few drinks. Although it was a Sunday night, we were still able to have fun on our own, singing and dancing to the bar music. Our night was topped off with a stop at The Blind Pig Pub where we met up with woome.com user Diana. All in all, the night was a huge success, aside from waking up the next morning and realizing i left my debit card at The Blind Pig. Here is a quick lil mix I made up from the night’s events…
With our stay in New Mexico coming to a close, we decided it was time to fill up the gas tank before heading off to Lubbock, Texas. So we headed over to the Ready Mart to fill up, popped in the pump and let ‘er ride. After grabbing some Fuze green tea from inside, I returned remove the nozzle. Little did I know this shit hole gas station had overfilled our tank. I gave the nozzle a pull and it didn’t budge so I yanked it and BAM!!! Since arriving in Albuquerque, our hopes to find some attractions specific to the region were met with some confusion. If we were in Mexico, it’d be simple: tequila, cervesas, and mamacitas. It just so happens that New Mexico has all three, but that left a little more to be desired. After our failed attempts to connect with our woo-girls we knew in the area, we decided to head to Sandia’s Peak. Atop this peak, we were taken aback by the beautiful panaromic view of the Cibola National forest, and decided to treat ourselves to a few drinks atop this majestic vantage point. It was clear that while the elevation change did not affect our alcohol tolerance atop, once we arrived back to the car we felt a little woozy, but in a good way nonetheless.
